Our Story: A Legacy Stitched in Love

Brynels began not with a storefront, but with the steady hum of a sewing machine in a family home in Birmingham. Founder and Creative Director, Vivean Viola Pomell grew up surrounded by fabrics, thread, and the gentle craftsmanship of her late mother, Brynel Stone a gifted seamstress who ran a small cottage industry with grace and grit.

"My mother didn’t just sew clothes," Vivean recalls, "she stitched love into every piece. She showed me what it means to create something beautiful with intention."

Inspired by her mother’s legacy, Vivean launched Brynels to honour that spirit. The name itself is a tribute. Every heritage hat and handcrafted piece carries with it a whisper of that origin, of resilience, creativity, and the quiet dignity of handmade design. Today, Brynels is more than a millinery label. It is a celebration of heritage, womanhood, and the art of being seen.
